I was so excited to make and eat my breakfast this morning! For those of you that don’t know, Newburn Bakehouse are now Warburtons Gluten Free and they’ve bought out a number of new gluten free goodies for all of us to enjoy, which are all now available in the free from aisle in most supermarkets! From their tiger loaves to their high protein wraps, I’m making it my mission to try everything! Today, it was time for the crumpets and wow, they were AMAZING!
I started off by grilling them to ensure they were hot all the way through, i then added lactose free butter AND lactose free cheese, topped with spinach and placed them back under the grill so everything could melt together. They were DELICIOUS!
My gluten eating family members tried them too and loved them. I think they are a great breakfast choice for all the fam now, it’s something we can all eat and enjoy together without gluten being an issue, so a massive thank you to Warburtons.

Today I decided it was time to conquer the French toast sandwich – my inspiration came from the Warburtons Gluten Free Instagram post, showing jam stuffed artisan gluten free French toast! I decided to take it a step further and add the content of my Sunday mini fry up to the sandwich… it tasted SOOOOO GOOD!
I used their multiseed farmhouse loaf and soaked both sides in egg. I then added two cooked sausages, lactose free cheese and spinach, then proceeded to fry the sandwich. Flipping it was a bit of a challenge though! Some of the bread did break slightly but that didn’t change the yummy taste of my finished gluten free French toast sandwich!
